Not a great tale of love, but something I would like to share.

Last weekend was gloriously sunny, and we had just returned from working on our allotment. We decided to do a little potting up at home, but to do so I had to return to the allotment to collect some pots that we had left.

I unlocked the gates, and while walking along to our plot, spied an elderly couple at theirs. The gentleman was quietly labouring away at the soil, whilst his tiny wife, glass of sherry in hand, was seated in an old rickety chair and smiled softly at him. Normally, everyone says 'hello' to one another, but these two seemed to be sharing such an intimate moment, having locked themselves in, that I just went quietly about my business and left.
